Pengaruh Pendidikan Karakter Terhadap Perkembangan Moral Siswa Sekolah Dasar

This research discusses the importance of character education in elementary schools within the context of moral degradation in Indonesia. The ongoing moral degradation poses potential risks to future generations, making the instillation of moral values from an early age crucial. Utilizing a qualitative approach and literature review, this study identifies various character education programs that can shape students' social and moral ethics, such as ethics lessons, anti-bullying programs, positive behavior awards, and extracurricular activities. Lawrence Kohlberg's moral development theory is employed to understand the process of internalizing moral values in students. Additionally, this research reveals factors influencing an individual's moral development, including family, social, and educational environments. It is hoped that character education can serve as an effective tool in building responsible citizens with strong moral qualities in today's globalized era.
