PENERAPAN METODE RELAKSASI BENSON TERHADAP NYERI DAN KECEMASAN PADA PASIEN PRE OPERASI KISTA OVARIUM DI RUANGAN MARJAN BAWAH RSUD DR SLAMET GARUT: A CASE REPORT

Pendahuluan: Nyeri merupakan gejala umum yang banyak terjadi pada pasien kista ovarium. Kekhawatiran terhadap prosedur operasi yang akan dilakukan, membuat pasien yang akan menjalani operasi menjadi cemas. Teknik relaksasi Benson menjadi salah satu terapi non farmakologis yang dapat mengatasi gejala fisik dan psikologis pada pasien kista ovarium yang akan menjalankan operasi. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh terapi relaksasi Benson terhadap nyeri dan kecemasan pada pasien pre operatif kista ovarium. Metode: Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan case-report dengan pendekatan asuhan keperawatan. Intervensi utama dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik relaksasi Benson yang diberikan dengan durasi 20 menit selama 3 hari. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan mengukur skala nyeri dan kecemasan pada sebelum dan setelah intervensi. Pengukuran nyeri dilakukan dengan instrumen numeric rating scale (NRS) dan kecemasan diukur dengan kuesioner Amsterdam Preoperative Anxiety and Information Scale (APAIS) versi Bahasa Indonesia yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitas. Hasil: Setelah dilakukan intervensi, didapatkan hasil terdapat penurunan tingkat nyeri dari skala 5 menjadi 3 dan penurunan kecemasan skor 14 (kecemasan sedang) menjadi 6 (kecemasan ringan). Simpulan: Terapi relaksasi Benson efektif dalam menurunkan rasa nyeri dan kecemasan pada pasien pre operatif. Manfaat dapat ditingkatkan dengan mengintegrasikan terapi music dalam relaksasi Benson. Penanganan kecemasan dapat dilakukan lebih komprehensif sesuai dengan penyebabnya, seperti edukasi mengenai tindakan yang akan dilakukan dan perawatannya.
