Abstract

Writing skills are one of the important aspects in education that affect students' communication and self-expression skills. One form of writing skills that must be developed early on is narrative writing skills. This skill is important because narratives allow students to develop critical thinking skills, creativity, and imagination. However, many students still have difficulty in writing good narratives. To overcome this problem, the Picture and Picture (PnP) method is used as an innovative learning strategy. This study aims to fill the literature gap related to exploring the effectiveness of the Picture and Picture method in improving narrative writing skills in Elementary School students. The type of research used is library research, where various literature sources are analyzed to find empirical evidence related to the use of this method. The results of the study indicate that the Picture and Picture method is proven to be effective in improving narrative writing skills in Elementary School students, especially in the Indonesian Language subject. This method not only improves the quality of students' writing, but also increases their interest and motivation in writing.
