Pengaruh Metode Bil Qolam dalam Meningkatkan Kemampuan Membaca Al-Qur’an Siswa di SMP Khadijah Surabaya

The study at SMP Khadijah Surabaya examines the bil qolam method, known for its effectiveness in teaching students to read the Qur'an. The research uses a quantitative approach, with percentage analysis and Pearson product moment correlation. The population consists of 439 students from grades IX-XII. Using Quota Purposive Random Sampling, 88 students (20% of the total) were selected. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and documentation. Findings show the bil qolam method is highly effective, with 89.20% of students rated as very good (80%-100% interval). The Qur'an reading ability of students also scored very good at 91.25% (80%-100% interval). There is a significant positive correlation (rxy = 0.603) between the bil qolam method and students' reading ability, indicating a strong influence. This is further supported by statistical analysis, where tcount (0.0097) is greater than ttable (1.66623), confirming the method's significant impact.
