Abstract

This study explores the strategic innovation of Islamic religious education based on multiculturalism in response to global challenges. The purpose of this research is to analyze how Islamic education can adapt to the increasing complexity of global issues such as religious extremism, cultural fragmentation, and the effects of globalization. The research identifies the need for an inclusive educational model that integrates Islamic values with multicultural principles, fostering tolerance, dialogue, and mutual understanding among diverse cultural and religious groups. The findings suggest that incorporating multicultural approaches in Islamic education not only addresses external global challenges but also strengthens social cohesion in pluralistic societies. The study concludes that the development of a multicultural-based curriculum and teaching methods is essential for preparing students to navigate the challenges of an interconnected world, promoting peace and unity while maintaining religious integrity.
