KOMUNIKASI POLITIK LINTAS PARTAI DALAM MEMAJUKAN PEMBANGUNAN DAERAH (Studi Dramaturgis Pada Anggota DPRD Kabupaten Maybrat Provinsi Papua Barat Daya)

Abstract

This research aims to determine the political communication carried out by cross-political parties in Maybrat Regency in advancing regional development and the ideas developed for regional development of Maybrat Regency, Southwest Papua Province using Dramaturgical theory from Goffman (1959) Front Stage and Back Stage (Black Stage) as. The descriptive qualitative research method and research results show that on the front stage politicians always develop cross-party political communication to encourage regional development, especially at working meetings with regional governments, commission meetings and plenary meetings. Meanwhile, on the back stage, politicians are lobbying between factions, both through internal and external meetings at each faction whose parties are accommodated in the Maybtrat Regency DPRD, including with the LMS and traditional leaders to capture the aspirations of the community. The conclusion of the research is that Dramturgical theory from Irvan Goffman about front stage and back stage has been applied in cross-party communication to advance the development of the Maybrat region. Researchers suggest that factions in the DPRD continue to build cross-party communication as well as communication with various community components such as NGOs, traditional leaders, community leaders and youth leaders so that the development carried out is truly in line with community needs.
