PENGARUH METODE KONTRASEPSI SUNTIK 3 BULAN (DMPA) TERHADAP FUNGSI SEKSUAL DAN BERAT BADAN Scooping Review

Efek samping dari penggunaan kontrasepsi progestine only adalah menurunnya fungsi seksual dan adanya penambahan berat badan. Hal tersebut banyak menjadi masalah bagi akseptor, karena akan mempengaruhi kualitas hidup. Tujuan dari scoping review ini adalah untuk melakukan tinjauan atau ulasan dan menyimpulkan literatur yang meneliti tentang pengaruh kontrasepsi progestine-only terhadap fungsi seksual dan berat badan.Metode menggunakan scooping review, pencarian artikel dilakukan dengan menggunakan dua database, yaitu pubmed dan science direct. Kata kunci utama yang digunakan untuk pencarian artikel adalah “Depomedroxy progesterone acetat”, “progestine only”, “sexual function”, “weight gain”. Hasil dari tinjauan ini memunculkan 8 tema kontrasepsi progestine only mempengaruhi fungsi seksual dan 7 tema kontrasepsi progestine only mempengaruhi berat badan. Terdapat efek samping dari kontrasepsi hormonal progestine only terhadap fungsi seksual. Walaupun memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan, tetapi jika dibandingkan dengan kontrasepsi selain progestine only tidak terlalu jauh perbedaannya. Berbeda pada efek samping kenaikan berat badan, terjadi perubahan yang cukup signifikan karena adanya peningkatan retensi cairan tubuh, kenaikan nafsu makan yang terjadi karena adanya perubahan hormon dalam tubuh wanita
