Abstract

Gotong royong is one of the traditions of the Pereng hamlet community which is still preserved today. Other terms found in local Javanese life such as gentosan, community service, autumn gunung. The implementation of gotong royong in Pereng Hamlet requires understanding and awareness of the community. Gotong royong is an alternative for empowering communities and social values. Community empowerment through mutual cooperation can improve the social life of Pereng Hamlet. Gotong-royong at the hamlet level is by filling up roads, casting roads, cleaning the hamlet environment. One of the leading KKN programs and activities at the Pereng Hamlet location, Bumirejo Village for 45 (forty five) calendar days is Gotong-royong and applying social values in the community.
