MENINGKATKAN PENGETAHUAN MASYARAKAT TENTANG PERAN NUTRISI DALAM PENYEMBUHAN LUKA DENGAN METODE CERAMAH DESA TELUK BINJAI

Nutrition plays an essential role in every stage of wound healing. Key nutrients such as protein, vitamin C, zinc, vitamin A, and omega-3 fatty acids support tissue formation and regeneration, reduce inflammation, and strengthen the immune system. Adequate water intake is also crucial, as water aids in transporting nutrients and removing waste from wound tissues. Consuming foods rich in these nutrients and maintaining good hydration are essential to accelerate wound healing and reduce infection risk. Specific health conditions, such as diabetes, may require specialized nutritional approaches, necessitating consultations with nutritionists or doctors to create appropriate diet plans. Proper nutritional management not only aids in effective wound healing but also maintains overall health and well-being. Community awareness about the role of nutrition in wound healing needs improvement. Initial encounters indicate a low understanding of nutrition's impact on wound healing in the community. Therefore, educational outreach programs are necessary. An outreach session conducted in Teluk Binjai Village, Kualuh Hilir District, North Labuhanbatu Regency, with 30 participants, showed a significant increase in knowledge. The pre-test score was 26.73, and the post-test score was 68.50, demonstrating an improved understanding of nutrition's role in wound healing following the session.
