Abstract

The community service activity on the training of making compost and natural pesticide was conducted in Sopo village, Amanuban Tengah district to support agricultural activities. The purpose of this community service activity was to provide knowledge about the making of compost and natural pesticide to support organic farming. The activity was carried out using several methods, including socialization, demonstration, practice, guidance with mentoring, and program evaluation analysis. The training was attended by approximately 50 participants consisting of village officials, community members, and farmer groups in Sopo village. Based on the analysis of questionnaire data, it was found that the participants' knowledge about compost and natural pesticide increased after attending the training. The community is expected to be able to make compost and natural pesticide, thus reducing the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides that can damage the environment.
